I want to have something to eat with my coffee…
But I’m concerned about calories …
Safe for children to eat ever after.
- Something that doesn’t use butter. Butter is expensive and high in calories, so even if you like the recipe, you won’t be able to use it.
- Something you can do as soon as you think of it .
- Good crunchy texture !
I used the basic oatmeal cookie recipe I found on Cookpad as a reference. I will introduce it with a small arrangement.
Material
- Oatmeal 150g
- 50g flour
- Sugar 40g Millet sugar, even grainy is delicious
- Pinch of salt
- 4 tablespoons of milk = 55g (You can also use soy milk)
- 4 tablespoons of oil = 40g (salad oil, rice bran oil, etc.)
- You can top it or mix with nuts or chocolate if you like.
Precess
- Place a suitably sized container (such as a bowl) on top of the scale and cover it with a plastic bag.
- Measure out the oatmeal, flour, and sugar into the bag + a pinch of salt.
- Mix thoroughly in the bag
- Re-cover the measuring bowl and add the milk and oil.
- Mix everything, being careful not to knead it.
- At this point, start preheating the oven to 180℃.
- Spread the ingredients out on a baking sheet without clumping them together . Approximately 5mm thick .
- If you make a slit with a knife at this point, it will split cleanly after baking.
- Bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 180℃
- Once it cools down, eat it crunchy. Or break it up and add milk (soy milk) to it for breakfast.
It’s worth making at home! ~Cost evaluation
It’s a crunchy cookie that sometimes makes me want to eat it.
Although the shape is different, it feels like an oatmeal bar.
It has a gentle taste that even children can’t resist.
Oatmeal bars are made with simple ingredients, but are surprisingly expensive.
This is what happens when I make it at home.
material | amount to use | Unit selling price | price conversion |
---|---|---|---|
oatmeal | 150g | 200 yen≒$2/500g | 60 yen≒60cent |
flour | 50g | 300 yen≒$3/kg | 15 yen≒15cent |
sugar | 40g | 300 yen≒$3/kg | 12 yen≒12cent |
milk | 4 tablespoons = 60cc/55g | 200 yen≒$2/liter | 12 yen≒12cent |
oil | 4 tablespoons = 60cc/40g | 500 yen≒$5/liter | 30 yen≒30cent |
The material cost is $1.29, and there are 36 pieces of 4cm square. Approximately 280g.
There are various theories about how to run a gas oven for 30 minutes, but the cost is approximately 30 cent.
Satisfaction for just 4 cent per piece◎
If it’s a commercially available product, one 50g oatmeal bar costs $1 to $1.50 (280g equivalent is $5.60 to $8.40 yen), so I think it’s a pretty good result.
Approximate total calories are 1,450 kcal. 517 kcal per 100g. Each piece has 40 kcal.
This is about the same as a commercial product.
It’s worth making at home!
What toppings should I do?
Best of all, you can do it as soon as you feel like it, your hands won’t get dirty, and there’s no need to wash anything.
It’s healthy, so it’s safe for children to eat it in large quantities.
If you think about your budget, you can dream up various toppings.
If you top it with chocolate and bake it, it becomes a baked chocolate version◎ .
Add plenty of cinnamon when mixing to make it taste like a cinnamon cookie. Goes well with coffee!
The nuts are so typical. If the amount is small, the presence is △.
Dried fruits tend to burn easily.
The best is the chocolate coating! Dip it in melted chocolate in hot water and then cool it down. Get enough calories!
Just stock up on oatmeal!
Have a nice day today!
