Vegetables gather

You can buy a variety of vegetables at the supermarket all year round, but the summer vegetables that were the mainstay have died out, and winter vegetables have appeared.

You can get seasonal vegetables at reasonable prices at vegetable stands and farmers markets.

It’s fresh, delicious, and cheap, but the amount in each bag is so large that it’s often difficult to use it properly.

Alcohol lineup changes

During the summer, I didn’t need any other options other than beer and highballs (gin/whiskey). No doubt.

As summer ends and the temperature drops, the need for cold food naturally disappears, and the food menu changes, so the alcohol lineup changes as well.

Sake, wine, and shochu join the party.

Oven-baked vegetables

I will introduce recommended dinner menus for this season of changing alcohols.

  • Both children and adults can eat lots of vegetables
  • Easy to make
  • Delicious no matter what you put in it
  • Simple seasoning
  • Suitable for drinkers
  • Suitable for both rice and bread
  • When you can’t think of a dinner menu
  • When you have no ideas, nothing you want to create, no motivation, no energy, and no time.
  • If you put it on the table as is, it will feel like a party!

This is my family’s teppan-menu when I’m in trouble.

Both junior high school students who eat a lot and nursery school children who eat small meals love it. It’s as generous as a pot.

When asked, “What’s for dinner today?”

If you answer “Oven baked” ,

A popular menu item that will make them say “Yeah!”

Material

Delicious grilled vegetables and mushrooms

Potatoes, onions, carrots, zucchini, broccoli, daikon radish, lotus roots, yams, taro, paprika, green peppers, asparagus, tomatoes, eggplants, garlic, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, king king mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, mushrooms, etc.

Chunks of meat

Pork (shoulder loin or belly is recommended), spare ribs, chicken thighs, sausage and bacon are also available.

You can also salt the minced meat, knead it and roll it into meatballs.

It will be even more delicious if you rub the pork chunks with salt that is 0.8% of the weight of the meat (for 30 minutes to 3 days).

Oil and salt

Appropriate amount. A little too much of both.

Procedure

  • Cut the chunk of meat into 3cm cubes. Cut the vegetables into 1-2cm thick pieces.
  • Place the cut ingredients in a bowl, add oil and salt, and mix everything well with your hands.
  • Spread on a sheet-lined baking sheet.
  • Arrange the ingredients so they don’t overlap and look nice when baked , then place in the oven at 230℃ and heat for 23 minutes. If it’s not brown enough, add 5 minutes more.

You can also add cheese as a topping if you like.

Today’s quantity

30cm baking sheet. Serves 3-4.

  • One onion cut into 1cm rounds is popular. Or cut into wedges. Most popular.
  • Tear each of the 4 king mushrooms into 4 pieces. 2nd most popular.
  • Cut 1 paprika into large pieces. Accent of color and taste. The texture is also ◎
  • Whole 5 small bell peppaer. Accented with color and bitterness.
  • 100g yam, cut into 1cm rounds. Fluffy texture◎.
  • 2 small carrots, cut into 1cm rounds or quartered. It will take a while to cook, so prepare it in the microwave for 2 minutes.
  • 1/4 pumpkin, 1cm slices. This time it’s butternut. Accent of color and sweetness.
  • 2 cloves of garlic, with skin on. Hokuhoku◎
  • 4 spare ribs marinated in 0.8% salt for half a day. It’s OK without pickling.
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 tablespoons oil

When the vegetable compartment is empty

I recommend that you go shopping for vegetables while thinking about baking them in the oven.

When you walk through a farmer’s market or vegetable section thinking about vegetables and mushrooms that are delicious when baked, you can choose them without worrying too much, and even if you buy a lot, you can rest assured knowing that oven-baked vegetables will take care of them.

I also want to be like an “oven baker” who has a big pocket and a sense of security.
